In our years of operating this business, here are a few things we have learned that we would like to share with you:
- We would love to have a business relationship with each of you. However, we understand sometimes you may choose to do business with another vendor. No matter who you do business with, NEVER, sign an agreement or contract that commits you to stay with that company for any period of time. Most contracts have a clause that allows for price increases that you must accept as part of the agreement. Please read all agreements carefully.
- Be sure that your vendor carries Workers Compensation and Liability Insurance. You don’t want to be a party to a lawsuit if someone gets hurt on your property.
- Kiln-Dried Shavings are not always more absorbent. Think of a new sponge you buy from the store. If you pour a bottle of water on that sponge it will simply run off the sides. But if you wet the sponge and wring it out it will absorb much more water. It’s the same thing with wood shavings. If they have a small moisture content, they tend to be more absorbent.
