When Quality and Service Matter.
All-In Removal Product List: We offer a total of 6 shavings products — 2 single ingredient shavings products and 4 shavings blends to meet the different tastes and needs of our customers.
Single Ingredient Shavings Products (these are the 2 unblended products we offer):
Standard Flake — Standard Flake is a non-kiln-dried product meaning that there is detectable moisture content in the shavings. This material has a very soft feel and looks great in the stall. Our flake averages 3/4 of an inch in size and contains some finer material which improves absorbency. The flake is a manufactured material used solely for horse bedding. Standard Flake makes up about 28% of all shavings sold.
Dry Flake — Dry Flake is a premium, kiln-dried product comprised of almost entirely flake pieces and contains very little fine material. This is the same material you would see in a bag of flake shavings. Dry Flake is slightly smaller in size compared with Standard Flake due to the drying process and offers a superior appearance in the stall. To produce Dry Flake, Standard Flake is put through a drying process, then screened to separate the Dry Flake from the smaller particles (which make up the Mini-Flake we offer as part of a blend). Dry Flake makes up about 21% of all shavings sold.
Popular Mixes (these are the 4 shavings blends that we offer):
Fines/Standard Flake — This mixture is one of the most popular we provide. It offers the absorbent qualities of fine material, while providing a soft and aesthetically pleasing presence in the stall. The moisture content of the Standard Flake is effective in minimizing any dust associated with the Fines.
Fines/Dry Flake — This mix is similar to the Fines/Standard Flake mix but instead uses Dry Flake in place of the Standard Flake. This mix will have a slightly lower moisture content, but because of the decreased amount of fine material in the Dry Flake vs our Standard Flake, it will offer slightly less absorbency, but a softer feel and more elegant appearance.
Mini-Flake/Standard Flake — This mixture is similar to that of the Fines and flake products. The contrasts are that this material will provide slightly less absorbency due to the absence of the Fines, but will produce a softer and fluffier feel in the stall. With the Mini-Flake being kiln-dried and the Standard Flake being non-kiln-dried, this mixture is the best choice for minimizing dust while retaining both softness and absorbency.
Mini-Flake/Dry Flake — This mixture is a combination of two kiln-dried materials. It is essentially Standard Flake in a kiln-dried state. The biggest attribute of this mix is that it provides a very soft feel and has a great appearance in the stall. The addition of Mini-Flake provides slightly more absorbency than straight Dry Flake. However, using two straight kiln-dried materials will produce more dust than some horsemen may find acceptable.
Other Shavings Ingredients (not available for standalone purchase, these 2 ingredients are offered as part of the 4 mixes shown above):
Mini-Flake — Mini-Flake is a by-product of the process of drying and screening Standard Flake. This material has extremely limited availability and therefore, is only available as a mixing ingredient to be used with another material. This material embodies the characteristics of Dry Flake while providing better than average absorbency. When mixed with Dry Flake, the Mini-Flake will give you the same characteristics of Standard Flake but will be kiln dried.
Fines — Fines are a blend of kiln-dried fines and non-kiln-dried fines. We mix non-kiln-dried fines with kiln-dried-fines to add a touch of moisture to reduce dust. Fines are more absorbent than flake but may not provide the soft deep feel that some desire in their stall bedding. Fines are also extremely limited in availability due to the demand for this product in the bio-mass industry (which produces wood pellets that are used to replace coal in powering electric plants). For that reason, we can only offer Fines as mixing ingredient to be used with another material. Unlike Flake materials, Fines are not a manufactured horse bedding material. They are a by-product from a sawmill, usually milling dimensional lumber.
Small Loads (20-40 cubic yards)
When delivering shavings with a roll-off container or light duty truck, we can haul between 20 and 40 yards, depending on the material. Each material has its own characteristics relative to compaction so there are different levels of density. We’ve done the density calculations for each material, including custom blends, so you can be confident you will receive the amount you ordered and paid for. We also recheck our formulas every few weeks.
When you have your shavings delivered at the same time we service your manure container, you can save up to 25%. Plus, there is no delivery charge for the bundled service. If we deliver shavings alone, we must add a service fee to cover our transportation costs based upon the location of your farm relative to our location(s). When you do a drop & swap – where we bring you fresh shavings and pick up your used horse-bedding – there is no additional transportation cost and thus no need for a service fee. Large Loads (100-140 cubic yards)
If you buy shavings 100 yards or more at a time, you can start saving money today by calling All-In. We can deliver loads ranging from 100-140 cubic yards at a time depending on the material you purchase. However, the biggest savings will be realized by receiving the largest load our semis can hold – typically 140 yards. In addition to saving money on each load of shavings, if you purchase your shavings from All-In you can also receive a discount on your manure stockpile removal price — another way to save with All-In.
